On 1 July, Vadim Turtsev will head Structured and Asset Finance Practice at Orion Law Firm.
Vadim Turtsev is widely recognised in the legal services market as a first-class specialist in structured and asset finance in the CIS, Middle East, Africa, Europe and the USA. He has over 15 years of experience in leading Russian and international law firms, where he successfully represented clients in complex structured transactions, including financing, refinancing, leasing, chartering and portfolio sales of assets. Vadimhas particular expertise in transactions in the transport sector.

The new team will focus on structured finance projects, including financing with non-standard debt instruments, high-value asset acquisitions (maritime vessels, aircraft and rolling stock), financing and refinancing of asset acquisitions, operating and finance leases, including sale and leaseback transactions, charter and instalment sales of high-value assets.
In addition, the team's competence will include insurance settlements and debt restructuring issues related to high-value assets, as well as tax, customs and regulatory issues in the field of transport.
The team includes counsels Maria Dedova and Dmitry Elkin, as well as associates Sophia Truscheleva and Evgeniy Tavrov.
Maria Dedova has over a decade of experience specialising in transactions in the transport sector on asset acquisitions, financing and refinancing, operating leases, finance leases and charters of aircraft and maritime vessels, as well as related restructuring transactions.
Dmitry Elkin has a decade of experience advising clients on financing transactions, including syndicated lending, asset acquisition financing (maritime vessels, aircraft and rolling stock), project and corporate finance, and aircraft and maritime leasing/chartering.
Sophia Truscheleva specialises in transactions in the transport sector and private asset transactions. Sophia also represents lenders and borrowers in structured finance, syndicated and bilateral lending transactions.
Evgeniy Tavrov is experienced in handling transactions in the transport sector and private asset transactions, including financing and refinancing, leasing/chartering, sale and purchase of aircraft and maritime vessels, as well as syndicated lending transactions.
