On 11 October 2022, the Courtyard Moscow City Center Hotel hosted the Forum “Corporate Lending in Russia – 2022”, organized by CBonds with the support of Orion.

The event was a continuation of the annual conference “Syndicated Lending in Russia and the CIS”, held since 2010. This year the theme of the conference has been significantly expanded, and, in addition to syndicated lending, it also included all other aspects of corporate lending, such as bilateral loans, project financing, guarantees, etc. Participants discussed the full range of fundraising tools for corporate borrowers, innovative approaches, optimal conditions and transaction structures in a rapidly changing financial landscape. The Forum has traditionally brought together representatives of the real sector, banks, legal and other consulting companies.

Nikolai Kurmashev, Partner and the Head of the Financial Practice of Orion, spoke at “Russian Syndicated Lending”, one of the key sessions of the Forum. In his speech, he highlighted the prospects for the development of Russian judicial practice in disputes between members of syndicates.
