The Annual Pravo.ru conference “Sanctions, Counter-Sanctions, and Investor Protection – 2026” was held in Russia on 19 March 2026. At the event, a new landscape for business development was considered despite sanctions, counter-sanctions, and secondary restrictions.

Orion Partner Alexander Khretinin presented the topic “Are there any working mechanisms left that can temporarily unblock access to funds for asset maintenance and protection payments?” at a session dedicated to survival strategies in the post-sanction period and new mechanisms for managing assets abroad.

On the conference were discussed issues related to minimization of legal risks during business restructuring and the development of new directions, analyzed risks with the aim of turning them into a strategy for entering new markets, and also described the profile of an investor in 2026 and compiled a checklist of actions to be taken into account in case of a potential inclusion in
a sanctions list.
