Arina is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution practice of Orion Partners. She has participated in a large number of high-profile litigations in Russian and foreign state courts, as well as in international commercial arbitrations. Her experience includes advising leading Russian and international banks and other major clients on a wide range of issues, including complex commercial and corporate disputes, foreclosure on pledged assets, obtaining interim measures in various jurisdictions in support of foreign litigations and arbitration proceedings, bankruptcy, challenging sanctions and asset tracing. Prior to joining Orion Partners, Arina worked in the dispute resolution practices of Linklaters and Herbert Smith Freehills.
Arina's work experience includes representing:
Russian individuals and legal entities in relation to challenging sanctions in various jurisdictions (EU, UK, Canada, Switzerland, Australia);
large Russian banks in disputes over judicial and extrajudicial foreclosure on shares in Cypriot companies (including obtaining interim measures obliging to register the transfer of pledged shares to the pledgee for the period of the dispute under the pledge agreement);
a large private bank in relation to foreclosure on assets of a client’s debtor located in France;
a large Russian bank in relation to the recovery of non-contractual damages in the amount of US$150 million from the ultimate beneficiary of one of the debtors as a result of misrepresenting its financial position upon receiving financing, including obtaining orders to disclose information about assets of the ultimate beneficiary, freezing orders in respect of these assets (WFOs), as well as orders for the appointment of an external administrator in respect of such assets in Cyprus, the British Virgin Islands and Singapore; and
a major entrepreneur, owner of shopping and entertainment centres in Moscow and the Moscow Region, in the course of arbitration proceedings under the ICC rules in a corporate dispute based on a joint venture agreement with a German company.
Arina received her Master of Laws degree with honors from Moscow State University of International Relations in 2013.
