Dmitry specializes in banking financing in Russia. He advises lenders and borrowers on secured and unsecured bilateral and syndicated lending, as well as on project financing and corporate aspects of financial transactions.
Prior to joining Orion, he worked in the banking and finance practice of the Moscow office of Herbert Smith Freehills, as well as in the legal department of a large investment company in Moscow.
Dmitry's work experience includes representing:
Gazprombank, VEB.RF and Sberbank in respect of a syndicated project financing for the development of the Udokanskoye field within the framework of the Project Finance Factory;
Gazprombank in relation to arranging a syndicated loan provided to Vera Port LLC, an operator of a sea coal port in the Far East;
Sberbank and VTB in connection with the provision of a loan to a Russian machine-building group;
Raven Russia in relation to the financing provided by Sberbank, VTB and Raiffeisenbank for the construction of logistics parks in Russia, and further refinancing of such loans;
Sberbank in relation to (1) the provision of a secured loan for the acquisition of a number of shopping centers in Moscow and St. Petersburg by FORTGROUP from Immofinanz (Austria) for more than EUR 900 million, and (2) the refinancing of existing loans provided to several real estate management companies by Nordea Bank, Raiffeisenbank and Sberbank;
Sberbank in relation to a secured loan for a subsidiary of one of the largest energy traders, including a complex collateral structure arising from borrower’s obligations under shareholder agreements concluded in relation to the management of an operator of an oil products loading terminal; and
Sberbank Investments in relation to the provision of US$100 million in secured financing to Gett (formerly known as GetTaxi) to expand its business in Russia, the UK, New York, Israel and Europe. As part of the transaction, the borrower agreed to grant the lender an option to subscribe for a certain number of the borrower’s shares.
Dmitry graduated with honors from the Russian Academy of Justice in 2012, and received a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London (UK) in 2013.
