Dmitry specializes in M&A transactions, private equity, joint ventures and capital markets transactions. He regularly advises clients on sanctions, counter-sanctions, regulatory and general corporate matters as well as corporate restructuring.
Dmitry also has experience in advising on financing-related issues, including project finance, public-private partnership and international arbitration.
Prior to joining Orion Partners, Dmitry worked as an associate in Moscow offices of Herbert Smith Freehills and Allen & Overy international law firms.
Dmitry's work experience includes advising:
Rockstone Ventures on the replacement of the general partner of an international private equity fund due to the previous general partner falling under US sanctions;
Arnest JSC in relation to the acquisition of Russian assets of Ball Corporation;
management of an international investment bank in relation to its withdrawal from the Russian market and the related restructuring of its assets in Russia and the CIS countries;
Sberbank in relation to:
- the disposal of its stake in the Fortenova Group;
- the sale of 99.85% of shares in Denizbank A.S. to Emirates NBD PJSC;
VEON in relation to the sale by VimpelCom PJSC of its infrastructure assets, National Tower Company JSC, to the Service-Telecom group;
a leading video game developer in relation to the acquisition of several of its competitors in Russia and Cyprus;
a confidential investor in relation to the acquisition from Elbrus Capital (a large Russian private equity investment fund) of 13.33% of shares in the CIAN Group, a leading Russian online real estate marketplace;
DSK Avtoban on its project for construction of the Central Ring Road (sections 3 and 4); and
a consortium consisting of VTB Group, Limak Group (Turkey) and JSC Institute Stroyproekt on their concession project (and related agreements on establishment of a joint venture) for construction of an ‘Eastern Exit’ in Ufa.
Dmitry graduated from the Higher School of Economics summa cum laude with degrees of bachelor (in 2015) and master (in 2017) of laws. Previously he also taught private international law at the Higher School of Economics.
