Grigory is one of the most experienced Russian corporate lawyers with over 20 years of experience. Grigory advises on M&A transactions, entry into new markets, suspension of activities in certain jurisdictions, establishment of joint ventures, changes in the terms of cooperation of partners within joint ventures and withdrawal from joint ventures, as well as corporate restructurings, regulatory issues and commercial contracts.
Grigory is widely known for his experience in the oil and gas sector, and has also been involved in projects being the most significant ones for the Russian energy market. Grigory has been included in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame since 2019. The Legal 500 Hall of Fame is listing lawyers being at the pinnacle of the profession.
Prior to joining Orion Partners, Grigory was a corporate practice partner in the Moscow office of Linklaters.

Oil Company Rosneft in relation to:
the sale of a 49% stake in KrasGeoNats LLC to Equinor for US$550 million and related shareholder agreements;
the acquisition of a 49% stake in Essar Oil Limited (Essar Oil) from Essar Energy Holdings and its affiliates and the creation of a joint venture in respect of Essar Oil with a consortium of international investors, including United Capital Partners and Trafigura;
the establishment of a joint venture with KAR Group to enter into a concession agreement for an oil export pipeline in Iraqi Kurdistan, the only pipeline of its kind in the region; and
participation of the company in attracting investments for the acquisition of a 50% stake in the holding, which owns a 26.19% stake in the Italian tyre manufacturer Pirelli;
BP in relation to the establishment of TNK-BP, as well as in relation to all issues arising in the context of a joint venture in Russia, including the revision of shareholder agreements;
Total in relation to the acquisition of a 20% stake in Yamal LNG and the regulation of relations between Yamal LNG shareholders;
Sberbank in relation to the indirect sale of a 25.07% stake in VisionLabs, one of the world leaders in the creation of products based on computer vision and machine learning, to MTS (as part of the acquisition by the latter of the 100% stake in VisionLabs);
the SUAL Group in relation to the merger of the SUAL Group, RUSAL and Glencore’s aluminium and alumina businesses to create UC RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminium producer;
the Agrocom Group in relation to the sale of the 100% stake in the Donskoy Tabak Group, Russia’s fourth largest tobacco producer, for RUB 90 billion to Japan Tobacco International; and
Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX) in relation to the acquisition of the RTS exchange and their further merger to create the largest stock exchange in Russia.
Grigory graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law of Moscow State University in 1999.
