Nikolay is a Senior Associate in the Financial practice of Orion. He specializes in cross-border financial transactions, including syndicated lending, trade and project financing, and real estate financing.
He also has extensive experience in debt restructuring. His clients include leading Russian banks, large manufacturing companies, and leaders in the telecom sector.
Previously, he was a Senior Associate in the banking and finance practice of the Moscow office of Clifford Chance.
Nikolay's work experience includes representing:
lenders under the concession project for the construction of the Eastern Exit from Ufa, a 15 km transport corridor, including a 1,25 km underground tunnel (completion of previously commenced construction), construction of a 2,58 km bridge across the Ufa River, as well as a 10,2 km road to the intersection with the M5 federal highway;
a Russian potash producer under US$1,2 billion pre-export financing arranged by a syndicate of European and Russian banks;
lenders as part of the restructuring of a US$250 million loan to a Russian diversified steel company operating gold and copper mines in Russia;
a borrower in connection with a loan from a major Russian state-owned bank to finance the construction of three oil tankers and subsequent operation in the Caspian Sea;
a telecom operator on various issues pertaining to the lending provided by a Russian bank; and
Credit Bank of Moscow and lenders in respect of a syndicated financing arranged for a subsidiary of international trader Trafigura to acquire a stake in Vostok Oil, a flagship oil project in the Arctic, from Rosneft.
Nikolay graduated from the Faculty of Law of the National Research University Higher School of Economics in 2014.
