Dmitry is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution practice of Orion Partners. He represented large banks and companies in Russian and foreign litigations, international arbitration proceedings, enforcement proceedings, and bankruptcy cases. He has experience in advising clients on sanctions compliance, participation in complex cross-border disputes regarding fraud and asset recovery issues, and structuring transactions in terms of possible litigation risks. Prior to joining the Orion Partners team, Dmitry worked as an Associate in the Moscow office of Linklaters.
Dmitry's work experience includes representing:
a major fertilizer producer as part of protection against arrests of product shipments in the amount of about US$100 million;
a large Russian bank in relation to the litigation in the case of the bankruptcy of the Antipinsky Refinery, the largest bankruptcy in the Russian oil and gas industry;
platforms for the provision of remote education services in a dispute with the right holder regarding the calculation and the amount of royalties;
a major taxi aggregator in relation to structuring a possible M&A deal in terms of antitrust risks and related litigation. The resulting strategy made it possible to successfully sign and close the deal; and
a large bank in relation to the reorganization of its debtor, a large industrial company, in terms of potential litigation risks due to a possible violation of antitrust laws and laws on foreign investment in strategic companies. The resulting strategy made it possible to avoid claims from regulatory authorities.
Dmitry graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law of St. Petersburg State University in 2018, where he received his Bachelor of Laws degree. He then received his Master of Laws degree from the Russian School of Private Law in 2020. Currently, he is attending a post-graduate course at the National Research University Higher School of Economics.
