Maria is an Associate in the Dispute resolution practice at Orion Partners. She specializes in advising large Russian and international companies in Russian and transnational litigations, as well as in the international commercial arbitrations.

Maria’s work experience includes representing:

Russian individuals and legal entities in connection with challenging sanctions in various jurisdictions (EU, UK, Canada, Switzerland, Australia);

wealthy clients of two of Russia’s largest banks in the process of unblocking access to securities worth hundreds of millions of euros;

a Russian legal entity as part of protecting its interest in a Dutch company (worth more than 400 million euros) from dissipation after the introduction of blocking EU sanctions, including obtaining interim measures in Dutch courts;

a major fertilizer producer as part of protecting shipments at the Stockholm arbitration institution (SCC); and

one of the largest international oil and gas companies in connection with the challenging of payments for $70 million within the framework of the bankruptcy of a Russian oil refinery.

In 2021 Maria graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law of the National Research University Higher School of Economics and in 2023 she received her Master of Laws degree.
