Mikhail is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution practice at Orion Partners. Mikhail specializes in advising and representing clients in commercial disputes in Russian state courts and international commercial arbitration.
Prior to joining the Orion Partners, Mikhail worked at VLawyers Law Firm, a boutique law firm specializing in dispute resolution.
Mikhail’s work experience includes representing:
a major railway holding company in a series of cases regarding the recovery of losses;
a Russian state corporation in relation to the adoption of interim measures in support of arbitration conducted under the ICC Rules in Paris, France;
a major Russian company in respect of an arbitration dispute under the ICC Rules on the admissibility of bringing into proceedings persons who have not signed the arbitration agreement;
a Russian legal entity in connection with the recognition and enforcement of a decision of the High Court of London on the territory of the Russian Federation;
a large network of clinics in relation to a dispute with a Cypriot company regarding the jurisdiction of the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation;
an Austrian bank during various bankruptcy proceedings and separate disputes in arbitrazh courts in the Russian Federation; and
an English company in relation to supporting the liquidation of its subsidiary subject to counter-sanction restrictions.
Mikhail graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Law of Moscow State University in 2021 and received his Master's degree from this faculty in 2023. He is currently a post-graduate student at the Faculty of Law of Moscow State University.
